Operating temperature / bleeding system
Hello,
I always thought my car ran "hotter" than I'd like. Usually a little below the 80 degree centigrade mark.
Now it is running a little above the 80 degree centigrade mark. I got a warning light that I am low on coolant. It looks like I am 1" short of the "full" level in the tank.
Some questions:
1. What do you see on your e430/e320 temperature gauge during normal operating conditions?
2. What antifreeze do you use?
3. How do you bleed air from the system (in case there is air in the system preventing the cooling)?
Thanks!
Kevin

1) My 1999 E-430 has always run at 85-90 degreesC. I think the thermostat is a 90 degreeC unit.
2) Always use M-B antifreeze.
3) I have found these systems self vent effectively.
