E55 engine into 430

I have a 00 E430 and 01 E55 the 55 is rusted very very bad, i've been toying with the idea of doing an engine swap, then found out the 430 is ME2.0 the 55 is ME2.8, I got some info from members here about swapping all wiring or converting the harness and all the other bits, I am still considering making this a winter project and stripping the cars completely, below is another brain fart or brain storm I came up with,

is it possible to swap the e55 engine and have the 430 ECU flashed, re-programmed or tuned for the larger displacement motor, the suspension, brakes and exhaust are easy, the 430 is a sport and I already have an E55 rear bumper, I am not concerned about AMG logos or a true amg car and certainly not planning or doing any AMG badges, at this point just looking to do an ol-skool hot rod tactic, bigger motor, better stopping, better handling = more fun for Dad's daily commute.

So my Question to the GURUs is this possible??

its possible this is what the c43 guys do to make c55s. I think most of them just use the 430 ecu. Look in the w202 amg section and you will find more information.

Having it reflashed would be the biggest hit to the budget, but if you part out the e55 interior and misc parts it wouldn't matter. There are a lot, I mean a lot more wires the you think but if you have the engine out and the trans dropped it will save some serious hassle.

illest__ I'll check the W202 section and see what I can find.

E42AMG___Trust me I know about the wiring i've already torn the interior out, had a potential buyer for it and he flaked, I haven't pulled the powerplant yet I start it occasionally and move it back and forth to keep things lubricated, I am trying not to go the full strip down route, between the heated seats, rear sunshade, tip sensors on the control arms, electronically controlled headlights and the 99+ computers in the trunk I can only imagine, if a reflash is a viable option the interior sale could offset that, i am going to post on the W202 forum and see what assistance I get..
