amg monoblock I or II
on the stock e55 2001 are they monoblocks I Or II. and will they fit 1997 e320 perhaps 18

Yep, Monoblock Style II's. Not sure if they even make style I's anymore.

I got a set for my E. They are the W210 staggard 18/8 et31 and 18/9 et35 Monoblocks. I just need to get new tires that are the correct size. The guy I got them from had them on a CL with 265/45 all around. Two of his directional tires were mounted the wrong way so there were chunks comming off of them. I need to get to correct tire sizes before I can put them on.

Sounds like the last guy was totally misled in terms of tire sizing and fit
