Advice from Canadian owners or those living in Snow Belt states needed!

hi all,

Im looking at the 2001 E55 AMG for about 7500 CAD @ 125000KMs. Now I see that rust is an issue with these cars but has anyone driven these models or the W210 Series in Canada or a snow belt state and still managed to keep serious rust at bay?

Any thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated.

This car will be my first car and my DD. I will be graduating from grad school so I figured Id treat myself instead of getting the standard civic or corolla...

CA is not really snow belt, but I spend 1/2 of my life in harsh weather with no technology to help me.
W210 don't have good rust resistance, not mentioning that buying 16 years old, exotic car in limited performance version for first car is good idea to start with.
I am not discouraging you as those models can be lovely cars for enthusiast, but don't think you will drive that car for long without putting serious dope in it.
PPI would be crucial.
Start with finding a shop who specialize in MB PPI.
