I purchased new cowl grill screens for my 2001 E55. I recall that there was a DYI thread to replace these but have not been able to find it by conducting searches.

Do any of you have a link to that thread.

Hi: I recently replaced them on my 98 E320.
Very easy, one screw on each and some hooks.
If you take the old ones off you will note the direction to catch the clips.
I broke one of the old ones while removing, I cant remember if it is left or right to catch the clips.

If my memory serves me correctly they were very easy to remove. Couple of screws and then they slid sideways to get the clips to come out of the slots. If you look at your new parts you will see which way they have to slide.

Piece of cake. 1 screw near the fender then slide off towards the middle of the car.
