aux tail light not working

hello i just changed out my tail lights on my e320 to upgrade to 02 avantegaurd style and noticed that the rear pass side aux lights (trunk light) was not working prior to changing or after. I thought for sure after changing to new lights this problem would be resolved however it did not. So after poking around awhile i noticed that there is only two wires ran to thie pass side of the trunk and there are three ran to the drvr side it seems to me that there should be 3 one hot wire for aux light and on for reverse and on ground wire for both. Does any body know if this is correct if so can i just run a wire from the hot aux light on the drivers side. i dont want to fry my electrical system. any ideas would be appreciated

thanks steve i will follow your lead! i think it looks much better with both hooked up my self. i always run my fogs at night and i dont want to have to worry about pulling the switch all theway out or not. This way it doesnt give the appearence of a burnt out bulb.

The passenger side fog light is not connected or have a bulb in it from the factory. It is not that bad of a job to connect it to the other side and put a bulb socket in it. As was recomended here before, put lower watt bulbs in them if you use them all of the time or people think your brake lights are stuck on.
