I have several questions about my new Mercedes. Glad to have found the site. First off my done lights do not come in when I open the door. And when I turn them on they don't go off when the door is closed. I also notice when I lock the doors I don't get a 3 blink on my lights. Could this be related? I've read here that maybe the back hatch could be the issue but not sure what to check.

You have one or more faulty door contact switches\or contact points---to determine which one, turn the dome repeat dome light on then go door by door and depress the switch---does the dome go out or stay on---if it goes off manually but comes back on when you close the door---inspect the contact point as it may be worn to a point that the switch is not depressed off---if that is the case get a small circular felt sticker and build up the contact point till the switch closes enough to turn the dome light off.
