Here in new york two oil change places refussed to give my E420 an oil change due to the following reson.
The air filter is on top of the oil filter and must be removed.
Can any one tell me where i can go in New york City becuase i refuse to pay Mercedes big money for a over priced oill change.
This of course includes the oil change price plus labor. Please Help!

If you're even a little mechanically inclined, do it yourself. It's simple to remover the air filter and then the oil filter is right there. If you are going to pay anyway, it shouldn't cost you anymore than a regular oil change, except for the extra qts. of oil. Good luck man.

Try to find a decent independent Benz service place. They are usually cheaper and generally do a better job than the dealer.
I know Valvoline centers will not do Mercedes.
Good luck.

air filter is on passenger side, where as oil filter is on the driver side.
Most oil changer don't stock MB filters. Since it's not possible to do oil change yourself in NYC, go to a dealer or indept shop.
