"Real" Mercedes owner, very impressed
I'm very impressed with this owner, and his car.
After all, this's what mercedes legend has always been about: car last forever, classy style, and owner who proud about it instead of cusring about it. With 250K mile on it, the owner spend $300 on repair, how many Benz (or any car) now can have that record ? Definitely not Benz.
Hmmmm, the good old day.
Amazing Benz owner, and car
Story about his car

I have to say that I reviewed the troublebenz.com site and I am not very sympathetic with the owner/author of the site. The problems that he refers are excessive but not overly out of line. Brakes at 29k km? Rock chips? Pretty standard.
The AC problem and the one major electrical issue are the only ones that seems excessive. The lease offer was also apalling. BUT, overall the experience didn't sound as if it warranted the website.

i sold an '83 300D to buy my W210. it had 239K mi and was as solid as a rock. in fact, it had fewer interior rattles than my 420! the drivers seat was just a squeeky though. those were great cars. the only problem with mine was it was going to cost $2000 to fix the AC - and summers here are hot!

I traded this in a few years ago for a '92 400E and it had 315,000 miles. It had the original muffler, tranny and one valve job. It was using about 1 quart of oil per 950 miles, so another valve job was around the corner. This car was the most trouble free car I can remember. An absolute joy to driver, not much power, but a real cruiser...80mph all day long without complaint!
A truly great car!
