Headlight Bulbs
I want to change out the bulbs on my 2000 W210 and was wondering what are the good bulbs? I've used those colored bulbs and they work good but some get the lights really hot and sometimes make the headlight lenses crack. I can't let that happen to my W210. What do you guys think? Anybody got any vendor hook ups? I need bulbs for all the front lights: Headlamps, High Beams, Fog Lights, and Running lights. Who's got a package deal?

Mark, since you probabaly want the DOT legal bulbs try PIAA or SilverStar.
The hi & lo beam halogen bulbs are H7. The non sport package fog light bulb is H1. The front city light is a H6W bulb and no one makes a DOT upgrade for that. SilverStar also makes a front turn signal 1156 bulb.

Re: Headlight Bulbs
Don't waste your hard earned money on the crap super-white or blue bulbs: light quality is actually reduced significantly, life span is shorten, and they may ruin your light wire/socket.
If you want really hight quality light bulbs, go with the European version like Philips Vision Plus. They're not sold here, so you may have to buy from importer or europe resellers. From what I observed, it's about 30% brighter than my OEM (not white though, but very bright), and from research paper I've read, life span is actually better than OEM too. Only problem is price: around $40/pair, but that's only 1/2 of that PIAA charges for their crappy bulbs.
FYI, light bulbs like PIAA actually reduce brightness from 10-20% compare to OEM (just because it's white doesn't mean it's brighter).
Good comparision regarding car light bulbs
This is considered one of the best article about light bubs

I think both Philips Crystal Vision and Diaomond produce more "white" light. Philips Visions Plus is a regular halogen lights (cast yellow), however, I could tell that it's much brighter than my OEM.
When I had the Philips Crystal, I could tell that it was much whiter than my OEM, however, when it came to dark road, it's obvious that it wasn't as bright as my OEM.
Philips Vision Plus just produce bright light, it's not producing any of those cool blue or white light though.

Funny, I've gone to the powerbulbs website and they only have blue vision and vision plus..no wonder i was confused with the previous posts with you Whitey!
so far, I like Blue Vision..white light, and it is bright on the road..and it would probably improve further after I change my light covers (but saving for Xenons now anyways. :P)
I've got the vision plus for my corolla..normal yellow halogen, but it is brighter and longer beam too...better then OEMs no question about it..
Whitey, you can try the PIAA from RIch..had another look at it yesterday, playing with the sample boards, but I'm still not sure whether it'll be brght on dark roads
