Seat frame rail problems
I am on my 3rd set of seat rails on the driver's side seat (second time the dealer replaced them). I have very rarely had a passenger in the car, now I notice the passenger's side is doing the same thing (popping when accelerating from a full stop). I usually leave my seats as far back as possible, and leave the seat back as upright as possible.
Is there an updated part or aftermarket part available to fix this problem? I looked through the archives and didn't see anything.
Also, does the MB extended warranty cover this? It might be worth getting the warranty just for this problem.

Im On my Third set also for my 2000 W210
Mercedes did them under warranty
I replaced the front seats with a NEW Complete Set from Steve With Heat/Multicontour and Cooling..so far so good..NO Rocking chair!
Maybe the Euro Frames are different?
As The Seat Belts are!

Do you have a picture of the seats?
I am worried that when the warranty expires on my car, I'll have 1.5 years before I need to replace them again.
How effective is the cooling? My seats are heated, but not cooled.

The Seats are perforated and the cooling fans draw the air in and force it through the seat covers....Works GREAT with or without the Seat heaters!..You can feel the air!..No More Sticking to the Seats!..
The Seats were a Factory option on the W210/E55
Most any Mod Is Possible with the Help of Steve!

Now I notice the same problem with the passenger's seat. Over 3 years, maybe I have had a passenger for 100 hours total.
What exactly fails here? I see that several rail parts are made from plastic. Are these cracking/failing? I wonder if someone makes an upgrade made of steel/aluminum?
