i wold like to ask if any one knows how much it costs to remove the limiter on an E55??
i asked (Performance Motor Garage) which modifies fast cars in my country UAE, Dubai. the guy told me that it will cost me about $ 1940 to remove the limiter, which gives 30+ HP's . And that the computer chip of my car should be sent to Germany, and they will do it from there and send it back, so it will take around a week.
Does it worth doing it? and is the price resoneable? or its too much?

$1,940.00 to remove the speed limiter and gain an extra 30HP??? How can you get an extra 30hp by removing the limiter?? All you're doing is just removing the govern speed limiter. That doesn't make sense. I think that guy is ripping you off.

about that guy told me that he will send the computer chip of my car to reprograme it, and that will gove 30 HP extra + no limiter.
that what have been said ! !

 

That's pretty good for an ECU re-program to produce and extra 30hp. I guess for $1,940.00 and with the limiter removed that's not bad.
