W210 Carbon Fiber Hood

Although it does seem pretty cool. I really doubt it would look good on most W210s.
Carbon Fiber hoods, and body panels in general, look good on sports cars and sport coupes (i.e. E36 M3), they looks out of place on most luxury sedans, including the W210.

That's hubert's hood, he's from this forum and I posted the pics. for him in here a couple of weeks ago. I'd also probably sport it as Doc said, if I had some extra cash laying around and it was out here. It would be something kinda different. Of course I would hang on to my OEM hood and only sport the CF hood every once in a while...

Yes its really easy just 3 on each side bolts and the washers for window. took me maybe 20 min. Some people like the sporty look or if someone is in to racing it will shave off some pounds or if the car is black or silver it just looks great but thats just my opinion.
Jimmy your car looks great with those lights on. I will be getting mines in a week my father is in Europe he will bring me those lights.

Initially a few months back when I purchased the 00-02 CF hood through VIS Racing/Euro Creations I declined to install it due to it's second rate quality/fitment - blemish imperfections on the finish, rough rolled edges, running the windshield washer hose would require to dremel the openings at the risk of cutting into the top portion of the CF, no insert tabs to mount the center hood grill inner unit (sorry don't know what it's called) and the list goes on...
Just recently did I get a call from them that my new improve hood is ready for install...I opt to do the work myself w/a few buddies, when I found out that their delivery guy will attempt to do the install which they offered to do for free. NO THANKS CHICO!
The new version CF hood now has the pre-cut openings to the run the hose and the finish is much better (8 of 10), however the edges that meet the headlamps still rough and should be sanded down & buff. To remove the OEM and install the CF hood is an approx. 1 hour job...caution when you remove the OEM hood from the hood shocks, keep a firm grip as the hood will jerk...otherwise will become a windshield display on the insde :p
Everything is relatively simple...maybe with the exception of drilling through the CF to mount the front grill.
My guesstimate weight of the CF Hood is 12-15lbs...the OEM is a heavy SOB!

My hood has all the holes for grill and the ones fot winsheld washers i did my self. As for the quality to me there in nothing wrong i seen poor quality CF hoods and this one is much better fits good no gaps betwen fenders and hood just like original. As for the weight the company told me about 17 lbs when i weighted it on a house weight it showed about 20lbs.

damn you richard, your always a step ahead.wish i had my car sooner........ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh
j/k it looks nice, i think it would be to much for my car, but i might have it going down the middle like when i talked to you about it, painted the sides of the hood and leaving the Cf in the middles of the hood lines
