1997 e320 coolant leak- heater core hose?

I was driving yesterday and when i parked, i heard some heavy boiling sounds what seemed behind the dash. I opened the hood and sure enough, the hose which looks like connects to the heater core is broken. Is there a way to replace this hose without taking apart the entire dashboard?

The heater core R/R looks pretty dam scary.

Video of the hose leak.

I forgot one detail, pretty big detail. I had to get home so i just added some water to see if i can make it. I had an hour and a half drive home though. My car began to stall about 30 minutes into the drive and became completely unresponsive to any acceleration and i rushed to pull over and the car stopped. The ETS (El. Traction Support) light came on soon as car died. Not sure if its related but wanted to add the additional info. Thanks everyone!
