2001 Mercedes E320
Dennis B

Hello, I'm new to the group. I have a 2001 Mercedes E320. This vehicle has taken me for a loop. The other day my ESP, BAS lights came on. I went through the procedure to reset it and it worked. What I did not know was that now when I turn my headlights on the break lights illuminate also. Has anyone had this problem before, and can you tell me how to correct it. I thank you in advance for your support.

A gaggle of MB's
Without getting extreme - do a search in the "stickies" above for procedure to replace brake light switch - note source genuine MB part only - about $25 - and not the China knockoff which is about $10 although retail auto parts stores will sell the China part for $25...

That's gives you a good start...
