Checheck engine light on after EGR valve replaced

Checheck engine light on after EGR valve replaced
Check engine light came on my daughters car that I was driving while she had mine on a road trip. Left it next day with repair shop I have used for years though different mechanic there that day. He stated I needed EGR valve replaced so I approved. Picked up that night and within 20 miles of driving next day Check Engine light back on.


Of course its the weekend and they are closed so will take back Monday but now wondering if he didn't diagnose code right?


Anyone have this issue? Didn't want chance taking it 30 miles to Import Shop I also use. Thanks for any insight.
