Help Please!!!!!! Tail Ideas.........

OK, I'm struggling to find some updated E55 tails for my ride where I am so I may have to get some stock ones and customize them for a more unique look. Can you guys tell me which one you prefer....please

Stock tails (for comparison):

Updated Tails:

Smoked and White:

Full smoked:

And the E55 tails..........which I'll probably never find

I think the E55 tails look best on your car.

If your car is light color, then the updated tail lights look best (Avantage)
If your car is dark color, then the E55 style look best.

The smoke ones just look aweful, even worse than the egg-shell one.

Thanks for the opinion guys, I kinda agree that the plain updated lights go with the white but the problem is, mine is an Advantgarde and the E55 ones are what came standard on this package....however, I guess its whatever looks good since my car never came with either of them anyways I'm just too concious of the fact that I'd be sorta downgrading to a lower package light......

Agree....the E55 tails look best in my opinion, Whitey. You should look Jimmydagreek up on these.

On your particular W210 Dave, I personally with go for the E55 tails as my first choice...and the updated tails at a close second. I wouldn't even consider the smoke version as I'm not too fond of the look. I understand you've got some difficulties sourcing the unit on your side...Jimmydapimp gots the hookup here...right! Your friend can pickup the unit along with the bulbs when he/she returns to HK.

Thanks for the headsup Joe and Rich and the others. I've touched base with Jimbo already but I'm just too impatient to wait. I can pick up a set of replicas (non-E55) for less than half the price and I have been told the replica E55 will be ready in less than a couple of weeks, so maybe I'll wait to see what the quality is like....at least I won't have to wait for Jimmy's.............

To be honest with you Davey boy, if you're not going to tint your windows, I really like the clear top OEM MY00+ taillights. That's what I had on my car before and changed them to the E55's because they looked better with my windows. I have my clear tops on ebay right now and wish it would be cost effective to ship them to you but I don't think it is. Good luck mang and keep us in the loop...

Thanks E, Dave already knows about them as I can get them as well for about the same if not less than that I include the modding and freight in my price. These taillights have become pretty popular lately and are on backorder at the dealer...

Calling us a cow dude?

BTW, I've seen a couple of nice fender vents on w210's in my Japanese mags...hard to imagine but both looked very nice I must say. One is similar to the new SL ones, the other very much like the F1, its quite subtle so it's not as bad as everyone thinks. It looked tight with a Lorinser kit and slammed. So its proof that it can be done but I just wish I can send u the pic

dave you gotta send me one of those mags, or at least scan the pic and email me, gotta see what it looks like.......at this point i wouldn't go to the lorinser kit cause i don't wanna have a car thats similar to hank's even though i like it a lot.......... but we'll see, to do custom fenders it's around 1000-1500 so i don't know as of yet............
