Help with Vacuum lines. please help :)

Hi all,

my dad had a go at changing oil filter housing and couple other things and after putting car back together the engine isn't idling as good as it did before. there is a vacuum line that he isnt sure where it meant to go, as well as wanting to double check the other two lines.

if you could please help it would be much appreciated!

IMAGE 1: Checking where the two lines on each side of Dip stick go..

he has them plugged in under inlet manifold. not sure if he mixed them up, or if they are meant to go there even. here is a pic:

And final pic, is a vacuum line that he ended up with and isnt sure where its meant to go...

Thank you so much

vacuum

The pair under the inlet manifold, it wont be a problem, as both are for vacuum so as long as they are fitted in there they will be fine .Dont know about the other one you have in your hand .But thats half the problem fixed so far . Do you smoke? Get a cigar and puff smoke down one of the other vacuum pipes you should see it come out the place the pipe should be fitted to.Let us know how you get on ..
