Radio/Analog phone problems?
Kids '97 E-420 started having poor to bad AM radio reception. Son-in-law states that about the same time, the older style analog phone began to act up also.
AM reception is bad on the weaker stations, with very little proper sound, but lots of static, and he says he can hear the ignition crackle, but on AM only.
FM works fine as it always has.
Anyone know what has happened? Has the amplifier for the radio antenna gone south? Perhaps a possible loose connection?
Any and all suggestions are appreciated.
The stupid dealer in Torrance says that they cannot find anything wrong! Can you believe that?
