i've been considering a swap out of my 040 black car for silver or white, and am curious to see if anyone's dyed their light color leather. shame that the w210 color combos are so bland (to me at least).
would java to dark brown 'saddle' be do-able? or ash to darker tone? funny that i'd switch cars for exterior only to want to change interior.

A lot of people say it never turns out right.....and I'm sure it'll look real ugly when it starts to fade.

I did have something sprayed (I think its some sort of really elastic paint) onto an area where I'd "over scrubbed" to bare leather but the texture has never been the same and the creases tend to be more profound.

doc, can i ask, did you purchase new interior locally? or is there good nationwide supplier for custom leather? if i bought a white/java , i'd be interested in making a darker, 'saddle' interior.
any nods from anyone in the NY area also.

You don't really buy an interior already made for the car. You got get it done custom for you. I have friends who had it done on their W210's. It's expensive usually, over 2000 bucks, but it's well done.
