2001 E320 no throttle response on initial startup
Hello all, was hoping someone in the forum came across a similar condition and might have a solution. Newly purchased 2001 E320 4Matic wagon with 146K on the clock. Absolutely love the vehicle, been driving Japenese vehicles for the past 15 years (company cars), refreshing to have a vehicle that is comfortable and fun to drive. Very aware of the "idiosyncrasies" these vehicles have. Cost of owning a great car! Anyways, runs perfect all day once warmed up. On initial startup only, back out of driveway, hit the gas pedal and no response from the engine. No codes stored. Before I start throwing parts at it, trying to see if someone has had a similar condition. MAF/coolant temp sensor/crank position sensor/cam position sensor? Know it is something along those lines. Thanks to all that respond and assisting a "newbie" to the forum.

Please clarify a bit..
On initial startup - before you **** into reverse - while you are still in Park or Neutral - is the pedal/throttle responsive at that point ?
If not responsive when you 1st try pedal/throttle in Park/Neutral - if you wait at idle about 15 sec - does the pedal/throttle then become responsive ?

Out Of Control!!
Yep, you don't need to start putzing around---get a good base line all comprehensive scan.
Then start resolving the issues one by one.
You will save loads of bucks on "oh you gotta have this part" or "oh my wife thinks its a CPS, change that" bla bla
