Do I need a set of new shocks?

Quick and dirty test: press your corners to see how quickly it rebounds...if it feels like its not very reactive, definitely need to change.
Did you manage to exchange those front wheels BTW?
Based on mileage it's sounds about the right time, besides, the new springs should be paired with shocks in better condition.

"Borrow" it permanently then!

What's a BS club BTW? How do one become a member?
and then respond with some of your own and then ask James for admission. It's pretty silly but something to do and kinda fun
ing, lol...

Well, if you're looking for ride quality and great response from your suspension then change the shocks. I currently have Bilstein Sports and love them. As far as rotors go you can keep the same ones and just change the pads but for an inexpensive upgrade you should go with the OEM sized Brembo cross-drilled rotors. You can find them on ebay for like a buck and a quarter. As for pads I've heard everyone rant and rave about Porterfields. They are great and have far less break dust then some of the other brands out there so everyone claims. While you're at it, paint the calipers too with the G2 Caliper Paint System from Performance Products. This is all of the stuff I plan on doing in the near future if I keep my car. Have fun...
Do cross drilled rotor worth the Money? Jimmy, My wheel almost looks the same like yours(I have Carlsson 2/6). If we installed cross drilled version, cannot really show it. I was think go for either Zimmermann or Balo. what do you think? I know the cross drilled looks awsome!
Yeah, I almost bought a set of 2/6 wheels but found the 1/6 design a bit more appealing to my style. I think painted calipers and cross drilled rotors will show. Everyone who has installed them says it's a big difference in cooling down the brakes. Sometimes when I'm pushing my car pretty hard through the canyon and use my brakes a lot they really heat up and start to stink. I am now careful because that heat could cause the stock rotors to warp. On my next brake change I am probably going to switch to set of Brembo cross-drilled rotors.
