There is a plate on the cross piece above the radiator with a bunch of numbers on it. Look for a 3 digit number like 040 if it is black or 744 for silver. If you have the original window sticker from the car, it will be near the upper right hand corner. There may be a 9 in front of it as well making it 9040 for example.

Determining Paint code 1996 e420
Sorry about the typo. E and S are too close.. It is an S420.
The plate on the radiator has about 8 rows. ABout the 5 row down. It has 410 744M .
So if this is correct. It is brilliant silver (Metallic)?
