my door is too tight. Hard to close
My driver side door seems too tight and requires significant force to close. It takes my wife 2-3 time to slam the door shut. It this something I can adjust at home or I need to bring it to the dealer?

My doors are doing that too.... My Jag has a heavy door and I'm used to pushing it lightly to close... on the W210 I have to practically slam the thing... its kind of annoying to get used to (Don't like slamming doors). I wish this car had the automatic closing assists like the S does.
Sorry I have no idea how to adjust this, I think it is normal.

Well, I adjust the door per instruction from my service advisor and the door is much easier to close now!!! The only part to adjust is the latch on the pillar where the door locks onto. Got the wrench from the Autozone and it took less than 5 minutes to complete. Only 2 screws to loosen and a few minutes of tweaking, and now the door close nicely.

Loosen top and bottom screws enough for the latch to move. If the door is too tight try moving it out slightly but not to a point the door isn't flush with the surrounding panels. The latch can also be move up and down for proper alignment of the door too. It will take a few trys to get to the right fitment. The driver for the screws is not a hex-driver. I bought a 3/8" T-40 star socket from Autozone for this job. Good luck.

no need to take it to the dealer just for that, you can adjust it yourself by loosening the bolts that go through the frame of the vehicle (not the door) then move the piece of metal and retighten the bolts until they are in the correct position.
That's what I found too. It's internal pressures because when a window/sunroof's cracked open a bit, it's normal. I suspect there's a relief valve somewhere that's failed or plugged up.
