Secondary cat replacement with X-pipe.
Ok. Just replaced my sons secondary cats with a 2 1/4" X-pipe. His right side cat was ticking when idling. So I removed them and found the substrate rolling around inside the housing. I just finished welding in the X-pipe in. Knocking is gone and it has just a slight raspy note from the Exhaust. Tomorrow we are going to cut out the resonator and weld in 2 pipes to the muffler. Then I have 2 chrome tips we are going to install at the end of the muffler. Going to cut the bottom of the bumper to fit the tips and make them look like they fit nice. Kind of like an AMG exhaust. Should sound real good after that!

i think you should have just kept your original thread and append your
posts to reflect your work in progress. It might read better and define
your project/car with more background. Just a thought...

Raymond. I never had a thread on the exhaust. This my first post on any exhaust work. Today I'm going to get some pictures and post them along with the resonator removal.
