Saturday I got into my 2001 E430 and noticed the mileage on the dash was flickering. When I started to car, it did that alert beep at me and the clock, temp, mileage display, SOS button, radio, etc all started to flicker. My dashboard light went out. Today when I got in, I notice that my gas gauge wasn't reading correctly. Then on my way home from work, after dark, everything flickering, dashboard light out(so much fun no knowing your speed) and this time I notice the AC/Heat controls and gear shift area where flickering.

Please tell me this is fixable as a DYI and no a bank brakers. I'm on a seriously tight budget since my husband has been sick.

I would start by having your battery and alternator tested, many electrical gremlins start there.
