Need to see pics of your painted calipers!
I want to paint my calipers but need some advice from others on which kits to buy, and how hard is it to take the calipers off to paint them on my 98 E320.

Doc, you need to get a set of black Euro front bumper inserts on that nice ride of yours. Get rid of that side light.

Thanks, man.......just gotta get some bigger brakes. The stock ones are really dinky looking with those 18" 5-spoke wheels. Looking into some Brembos.
The yellow calipers definitely get a lot of stares around here. People either love 'em or hate 'em. Just wanted something different from black and red.

The question is,,,,,,,,if you go bigger brakes,,,do you also go yellow.I would think after having them with great results,you would stay with it.At least I would($.02).
How long did it take to do all four calipers?I have the G2 paint,but time is so fleeting bro.
Did you do the inside of the calpipers,or just the outside?I also have a big brake upgrade in my future(after the Comand retro),and I would really like the yellow look

Yes, I would like to stay with yellow on the big brake kit. However, Brembo and others do not come with yellow, only red, black, silver, so........I will have to paint the new calipers. It did not take me long at all to paint mine. Did one side at a time, front and rear. Yes, painted the entire caliper. I had to apply 2-3 coats of paint per caliper to make it look good and solid. Probably the better part of a morning or afternoon to clean, prep, paint, dry, etc. Thanks for all your comments, dude!

I've used the G2 kit previously but after awhile (approx. 1.5 years) the paint starts to chip even applying 3 coats...powdercoating the calipers maybe a better alternative.

If I whip out the.........
gas powered Tim Taylor power washer with the open headers,,I can cut down on the cleaning time,,,go straight for the paint.No problem with the kudos Mike,you've acquired a unique look on an already unique car.
