Ac issues
First of all my names mike I'm from Hawaii and I drive a 1998 Mercedes E430 sport.
love my car just can't stand the heat here in Hawaii without ac.
So my problem is my compressor has been shutting on and off for almost 2 years now!!! I know right how crazy! There's pretty much no ryhme or reason as to when it wants to work or not. Only thing I noticed is it works a lot more often at night. I've changed the evap temp sensor and just today had the coolant system evacuated and recharged to correct specs. I cleared my codes today which was eb1-231 and eb1-235 and they did not come back after clearing. I'm hopeful someone can help me cause I gave up 2 years ago trying to figure it out but now I'm back at it again.

1st is when ac was kinda cold at idle

You did not follow the procedure, so no conclusion is possible.
So far I can see your Ac is not doing anything, but not knowing what temp you set on climatronic while 80F is not really high AC demand.

thank you for your input. I'm leaning toward the high rpm reading is the problem. Does anyone know if the compressor will shut off if the rpm reading is too high? While on the freeway my tach was reading 1500-1600 rpm and my ac was reading 6000 rpm which is almost redline
