is there anyway to resolve this with changing out the heater/level sensor quoted at $1,300? Heard that an aftermarket ECU reflash might resolve? Don't care about MB approved solution - just want to get the dayum thing to stop throwing a check engine light code! Thx.

It was about $450

Look to ebay there are thousands of chicoms and ukes selling a DPF delete packages and if you are looking for the cheap way out---sell the car and get a chev blaze!

I had a Chevy S10 Blazer for a short amount of time that I paid $100 for. It was a piece of ****. I sold it for $600 and took payments from the guy. He actually came through and wasn't a total dirtbag even though he looked like one.

I am amazed that we have not heard further from your BS buddy Mr pierogie on this subject----he would no doubt try to tell us that while in the old country he developed a DPF system for gasoline cars and give you a web site as to where you can purchase the product-----another Bens Wurld HS story to gather posts!!

What is really amazing is that Plutoe could not find wastegate on his 1999 diesel.
All those listed scanners, EPC and no clue what he has under the hood.
I am pretty sure he has no idea how DPF looks like
It is "pierogi" BTW.
