Sudden rpm drop on ignition and shoots back up to normal immediately
Hi there,
VIN : WDB2100556A268514
I have an inline 6, M104 1997. Every time i turn on the car, rpm comes to 800 (normal), and instantly drops to almost zero before it comes back up to normal. Sometimes, it will turn the car off, and the "Battery Not Charging" message will be displayed. But i noticed that it doesn't happen when i first ignite the car in the morning. On first morning ignition, everything is normal.
The internet says it's the Throttle Body, but i am not sure, since my rpm stays stable for the rest of the day and doesn't behave erratically when idle at all. Or maybe it's the first sign of Throttle Body problem?
Could it be loose coil packs? Spark plugs? (Note that i have changed those items few weeks ago and they didn't solve the problem)
Or maybe the alternator? (I have also replaced the belt, the belt tensioner, and the battery as well)
Note : I've scanned the car, no codes, no warning.
Help, anyone?
