Cool Custom Amg Bumper!! Check It!!

HEY EVERY 1,

I JUS FINISHD MODIFYING THE FRONT BUMPER OF A 2000+ AMG BUMPER TO FIT MY EXISITING PRE-FACELIFT MODEL BUMPER. IT TOOK ME 4 DAYS TO COMPLETE. WOULD HAVE BEEN QUICKER BUT I HAD TO REPAINT IT BECAUSE THE PAINT SHOP MATCHD THE COLOUR WRONGLY. I HAVENT FITTED IT YET, JUST WAITING FOR THE MESH INSERTS. DOES ANY BODY HAVE ANY FOGLIGHTS FOR THIS BUMPER??!?! NEEDED DESPERATELY!!

IGNORE THE WHEELS ...LOL THEY ARE JUS TEMPORARY WHILE MY NEW ONES ARE SENT OFF FOR MIRROR FINISH POLISHING.

I HAVE JUS FIGURED OUT HOW TO POST MY PICS SO YOU WILL SEE ALOT MORE OF MY "E" SOON. THE MOST AMAZING THING IS THE INTERIOR BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT FOR IT

ANY WAY LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK.

not too bad ,but i got one question for you, how come the chrome strips are still on the top of the bumper instead of the middle of the bumper??? i was trying to do the same, still looking at what to do...and whats going on with the interior????

basically i only used the bottom half (below bumper strips) of the 2000+amg bumper and fabricated it to fit to the exisiting prefacelift bumper. i have step by step photos of how i done it. if you would like me to post them i can. the bumper weights exactly the same as the existing bumper aswell.

well with regards to the interior i am into the multi media ICE area and i always need a nice system in my cars. in my previous ride i had 4 x 15W6 JL's and they reached well over 150 dB.
obviously i havent gone that mad in this/ but i have tv's galore, relocated stereo face in centre arm rest. full jl audio speaker system. amplifiers the width of the boot, Tv in the steering wheel with LV detailing. lots and lots more. i will post the pics as i transfer them off camera.

Thats pretty nice man, The sport kit on the 00+ 210's are very clean and IMO one of the best kits even tho its "factory". Makes your car look so much newer.

well over here in the Uk the amg front bumpr shell costs £560, so instead i bought one from a mercedes breaker for £200 as i only needed the bottom half.

used bumper- £200
paint and prep materials- £40

I was goint to pay £150 for new mesh inserts but i have also fabricated my own ones with the exact same style mesh as the original one. you cant tell the difference.

All i need now is some fog lights which i can get for £100 used. but moneys bit tight after i splashd out and bought the amg 2000+ side skirts and rear bumper and new wheels+tyres. so i will fit them later.

thats bout it really. because i did it all my self i didnt have to pay no labour.

i was going to go for a wald v2 front bumper or a carlsson one like yours but wasnt sure how strong they would be and besides they cost like £350 here and besides there isnt many good importers for their parts. so i decided to keep it all original and stick with the good plastic that mercedes uses (alot more flexible especially at the bottom).

i must admit the result looks very good when seen in person. because of the wider bumper strips it gives the car a more phatter look from the front. in order to make it work i had to make the bumper fit 1 inch lower than the original 2000+ bumper. so it gives it more front.

is ther a reason why there seems to be a gap between the bumper and the upper panels?

Great job Saddam.....now that you have the bumper, I would also put on a Carlsson lip for the MY00+ E55 bumper - it looks really tight

Alex, here's proof that with a bit of creativity you can bolt on that Lorinser front!

To be honest I was going to do that. I have a crackd w211 amg front bumper shell and I had placed it in front of my car to see how it would look.but i found that the w211 version was looking tooo way ahead of the w210 style and lookd out of place.
