Upgrade audio in '98 E300TD?

Upgrade audio in '98 E300TD?
I just got a creampuff of a '98 E300TD with Bose sound. Cassettes are pretty useless to me. Is it possible to retrofit a later OEM version with CD/USB/Bluetooth, maybe Nav? I'd rather not resort to aftermarket if I don't have to. TIA!

of course, it is possible. but it will cost you. it will also require having someone knowledgeable enough
to retrofit the parts into your car. it may even require having MB SDS multiplexor configuration be
done.
there use to be a forum member "Sunil" who would fly around the US performing such jobs but he's
been much less visible, of late. he used to work out of this place: http://www.mwhouston.com/
this guy used to fly to the US but I haven't seen much advertising or posts from him on the various
MB forums.

I always expect that getting anything done *correctly* on an MB will be a little more expensive. I was hoping for a more feasible solution. Thanks for the dose of reality therapy. If I do opt for aftermarket does anyone have any suggestions of something worthy of residing in an MB dash.

why not cruise the Crutchfield catalog for compatibility and display color match? I presume you would
be thinking of maintaining the amber dash lighting. there are even radio displays offering RGB color
control for on-the-fly, color matching
