97 e320 spark plug change
can anyone walk me through a spark plug change on a 97 e320? I've read in some other posts that it can be tricky and some plugs are stubborn to remove. What tools do I need should I expect to use and should I go out and buy a torque wrench?

The 97 E class should have the Inline six 104 motor
Remove the Intake cross over tube and air cleaner
remove the center cover on the valve cover
Then you will have access to the coils/spark plugs
Buy a GOOD pair of spark plug end CONNECTOR plyers to remove the spark plug connectors..replace the spark plugs with a GOOD spark plug socket..snug them and then a quarter turn ..no torque wrench is required to install spark plugs

follow up to changing spark plugs
As a follow up to my request for an assist on changing the plugs... I did it last weekend and it was as easy as changing a lightbulb. The only trick was getting a long enough extension to my ratchet (10") to get to the plugs. No worries at all and for those looking to learn from this post it's about a 15 minute job and not worth the $150 that the dealer wanted to charge me.
