Hard Wired Dash Cam in W210

I'm interested in installing a hard wired dash cam. I'm looking to run the power cord from a fuse box to the rear view mirror and just have an inch or two of cord sticking out from the headliner so I can plug the dash cam in there.

My other car has a fuse box relatively close to the rear view mirror (i.e. under the steering wheel) so it's easy to run the cord under the dash, up the A pillar and behind the headliner.

With the fuse boxes in the W210 being under the hood and under the rear passenger seat it doesn't seem it'd be quite as easy.

Anyone done this? Did you go with the engine or rear passenger fuse box? Any other words of wisdom?

your fuse box/cluster should have included a map...and showed one more cluster on the left end of the dash
which can be seen after you open the door (USA).

look for fuse map/diagram here:

Ah, thanks, Raymond. Sorry for the stupid question. New car. There are fuse boxes everywhere! Lol.

Gonna try fuse #11 - instrument cluster.

I found a thread that shows someone removing the A pillar as part of a headliner repair. Just pops right off. Nice

Also need to get the wire under the headliner backing too - hopefully removing the sun visor screws provides enough room to operate.

I'll post an update when stuck or complete...
