Three Month Owner-Second Problem

First my air flow meter goes out and causes the "Check Engine" light to go on. Now the climate control blower regulator needs replacing. The dealer says it'll cost $600, unless Mercedes feels sorry for me and fixes it under warranty, which expired in March with the prior owner. I hope this isn't a predictor of the future! Could it be that we have too much Chrysler and not enough Mercedes? I know, Mercedes didn't own Chrysler when my 1999 E320 was manufactured, but it sure seems like it!

Re: Three Month Owner-Second Problem

If you're handy, you could just buy a regulator for the old S, and replace it into your broken one, there's no need to replace the whole unit. Too bad Bnz doesn't sell the regulator separately for the W210.

Every M112 engine I know suffer the Air Mass Sensor, so dont feel bad . Except for that, it tends to run forever though.

Zam,
Nope, I'm not handy. I'm going to let MBZ do it, and hope that Mercedes will waive the cost. It's off warranty by three months, and the thing's never worked. It took me a while to figure out that it was broken, and may have even been broken when it was under warranty. I bought it when it was off warranty by three weeks. Thanks for the info.

Blower Motor Regulator

The dealer fixed my climate control. It was the blower motor regulator, and it's covered under the Starmark warranty. I asked the service advisor if he had a list of what's covered under Starmark. He told me that he did not. So far, I'm two-for-two!
