Unhappy E300TD AC Compressor gone out

I recently diagnosed my A/C compressor to not be working, refrigerant is full, and the system will not let me switch to the compressor (stuck on EC). I bought a replacement compressor, but do not know how I should approach the A/C compressor. How to access the A/C compressor? There are so many things in the way if I try from the top. Any help would be appreciated!

1922 Ford Model T / no OBD
Stuck EC is software/sensor error not bad compressor.
I still would do proper troubleshooting per MercedesMedic site.
No, you don't need VIN for that.
