exhaust & brake caliper enhancement
anybody aware of any good aftermarket muffler/exhaust tips for my '99 e430sport?
I just put some 18" borbet 5 spoke wheels on the car and the brake calipers are now a more visible rusty brown. Can these be cleaned/painted or replaced?

Nice E430 Sport! You are out of luck on the add-a-tip deal for an E-Class. There are none. You have to buy an aftermarket rear exhaust from AMG or your favorite tuner, like, Brabus, Carlsson, Lorinser, Renntech or try Remus, or Eisenmann or Fox. Eisenmann may be the cheapest.
I also hate to see a car with a open wheel design and rusted brake calipers. Try caliper paint kits in your favorite color from:

Weekend project, do all wheels at same time because the paint comes with a hardener and after a few hours that paint is hard and rubberized. Redo each year because the paint will chip and peel off. Really cheap mod.

Brake calipers
I have a Brilliant Silver 2000 E430 Sport with 18" SSR Integral 5-spokes similar to yours.
I purchased the German brush-on stuff in "Speed Yellow." People either love it or hate it but for one thing, you will not see another car like it.
I believe it is the Foliatec stuff. Comes with hardner. Takes a while to do it right, but is super thick and hard, easy to clean. Be sure you clean those stock calipers before applying paint.

As for your brake you can probably try changing the pads with Porterfield. I haven't used them myself but with all the praises i've been hearing it sounds like a winner.
