2000 E430 right side mirror mysteriously "fell" off the vehicle and smashed to the ground, breaking into pieces. I purchased a replacement glass but it did not come with the required metal clips (2 req'd). Does anyone know where I can get the clips or at least a part number?

If i'm not mistaken; side mirror clip comes as a part of mirror glass assembly, isn't..?!?

When I purchased a side mirror for my W210, the fastener clip and the two metal guides came with it. They were not mounted on the mirror and were wrapped in paper so I didn't see them at first.

nope, reversing them, and using the "O" and "0" permutations doesnt work either.
Getting a boat load of different models with your #.
Work with us brother, if you cant read the vin# correctly, cant move forward here.

Did you buy MB replacement mirror glass/with plastic mount on back - or did you buy replacement aftermarket "glass plate" only ?
