E300TD

A quick question.

Hey, i'm new around here, and i've been searching the forums, but can't really seem to find the answer i'm looking for.

I own a 1997 E300TD W210, and i've been thinking of changing out the climate control out to a digital one, the one that is also offered in the 1997 w210, see picture 2. (I have the analog one, with the knobs that you have to turn, see picture 1.)
Is this do-able? If so, without too much hassle? I don't want to lay down alot of money, for it not to work

If any of you have tried this, or know about it? I would greatly apreciate your input.

Also, i know that i have to buy a new frame and woodpanel, i have already found those items, ready to click the buy button, if it's do-able,
