Diesel chips

I've seen some that promise up to 30% improvement in fuel economy. Pros? Cons? A little reality therapy beyond the hype. Thanks.

Yeah, old joke is that with chip giving you 30%, muffler delete 20%, K&N filter another 20%, plus couple more mods and at the end

You can't beet a proper remap, but the latest boxes do more than just modify fuel pressure and MAF readings as suggested. I'd still always go with a proper remap.

Is 30% efficiency realistic, probably not, but 10-15% is achievable when driven normally.
