Adding a Subwoofer to Stock W210 Bose system
I've heard that I will have to disconnect the Bose microphone that is part of the audiopilot sytem of ambient noise cancellation. This in order to eliminate the volume fluctuations as the Bose system pics up the thump of the sub and increases the vooume of the rest of the system to accomate the increased ambient noise.
Another thread (C Class forum) showed the location of this mic under the dome/reading lamps, but I cant see them under there on my E Class, which begs me to ask the question. What is the location of the Bose AudioPilot Microhone on a W210?
I saw something in the middle of the rear deck that could be a mic, I can see it from inside the trunk, but have no idea what that is.
TIA,
Chris

must be speed sensitive though right?
Does a W210 Bose system have a speed sensitive stereo?
If a W210 Bose system does NOT have the audio pilot system, is there still some sort of speed sensitive paramater?
I do notice subtle fluctuations in volume while driving.
