what should i do
I have a 99 E430 black on black and i realy like the look of black wheels with polished lip. Right now i have set of Carlsson 2/6 19" my options are get a set of Maya wheels because they come in black or get my Carlssons powder coated and baked. Need your advice guys, also how much would it cost to get my wheels powder coated. I prefer painting my wheels because i realy like them plus i have Carlsson body kit on my car but it might be not worth it. Thank You.

Keep the Carlssons, but have them painted. The black center trend will only last a little while longer. If you get them painted, then is easier to get them repainted later.

Yes thats what i mean powdercoat them not paint. Somebody told me that it's going to cost me close to $1400 to get my wheels powdercoated, is that a good price. I though it's going to be like $600 or less.

at most 100-120 a wheel and then they have a repolish the lip.....the most crazy price i've seen was 600 for a set.........1400 is ripping you off

You're right Hubert, he didn't go the full black but metallic but with a very valid reason...he didn't want the contours of the 1/6's hidden in pitch darkness, here's a closer pic and a link:

Were those wheels powdercoated or just painted. Where does Josh live, need to find good powdercoating place in NYC. I kind of like the color on Josh wheel might even consider this color.

Powder coated You don't know Josh? He lives in LA according to his Avatar and I heard he's a "famous" actor and singer
....nonetheless very helpful, I've found. Look up Josh K here on the board, he might be able to help or he might see this thread soon, he lurks around here sometimes....good luck!

Hubert, I don't remember if your wheels are staggered or not but if they are, definately keep them and powdercoat them black. That would look really tight IMO...

Yes Jimmy they are staggered 2 piece Carlsson 2/6.
Since they are 2 piece wheels whoever will be doing this for me will have to take them apart and how does it work with that, Each screw has to go back in the same hole or it dosen't matter. Are those screws reusable or i will have to get new ones from Carlsson.
Thanx
