2001 base E430.. almost mint condition
hi Guys.. 62 year old Leo here with a 2001 base 430... LAMP ERROR I just cant find.
Hi Guys, thanks for accepting me. My name is Leo, I'm a disabled 62 years old full of life and with a beautiful Desert Sand 2001 E430 Base.
I changed the lamps to led and installed hardware even it the lamp was CANBUS FRIENDLY, but I still have LAMP ERROR on the dash. Do INSIDE lights affect error message?

exterior lights only, Leo
if any of them had been replaced using LEDs that may trigger a bulb malfunction warning even with CANBUS.
so work backwards and replace with filament bulbs instead of LEDs one by one to see if you can isolate the offender
go through each of these:
(2) H6W dim bulbs inside the high beam reflector,
(2) front fender, side clearance bulbs under amber lens
(2) dual filament bulbs on the outside edge of the tails
(2) single filament bulbs on the inside edge of the outer tails
...then, when you step on the brake,
(2) second of the dual filaments light up on the outside edge of the tails
....don't neglect to eyeball,
(2) lights above the rear license plate
(2) lights when shifted into REVERSE
(1) rear fog light on left rear, when headlight rotary switch pulled 2 clicks
(2) front fog lights in front, when rotary switch pulled 1 click
....and natch,
(2) low beam
(2) high beam
p.s. it is my understanding that the DOLE (high brake light) behind the rear headrests
are not part of the bulb monitoring system
