Just replaced struts/springs and axles on E430 4matic, not bad
I have just tackled the install of new bilstein struts, OEM front springs and axles on my 2001 E430 4matic. I did not use a spring compressor. I did the job using FCP Euros article on a strut replacement using the control arm to remove and install the spring/strut. The job was pretty simple to be honest. If anyone needs to do the job and has any question feel free to ask.

I was lucky enough to not need the slide hammer setup to pull the driveshafts as mine were shot and being replaced so I just pushed them in and gave a strong tug outward and they popped right out. Also my lower ball joints popped right out with few wacks of a sledge. I completely removed the sway bar which got that out of the way with no prying to mess around with.
