Question monobloc wheels

Sorry for the ignorance but what exactly make the wheel type a monobloc? By the way when I see the word I think of Amal carburetors and yes I am an old guy. Mark

Google
Monoblock rims are often called as "one-piece" wheels since they're composed of an individual piece of T6-6061 aluminum. Following the unit of metal is forged, it's putted into a CNC milling device where the metal is shaved off and the design is slice into the wheel
That in common MB slang applies to classic wheels who have design with big flat pieces. Over the years the pieces were getting smaller and smaller, but I have classic monoblocks that I bought used like 15 years ago, used them on 4 cars so far and am in process to checking if modern TPMS will fit on them to use them on latest car.

Thanks for the info Kajtek, plus now I know it is monoblock ending in K. So it looks like my 2000 E430 has monoblock wheels.

Actually the E430 wheels were not considered monoblocks, but were next close thing to it. (I bought them for my E300DT who had hated 10-spokes)
Obviously slang is slang and you can stretch it to your personal believes.
Over the years MB start making wheels with bigger and bigger holes, still calling them monoblocks, yet for me there is only 1 classic design and was prized several times that regardless what MB car I had them on, it was always head turner. .

The Monoblock wheels most people think of only came on the W210 E55. They did come in other sizes on other models.

If you have legit W210 E55 Monoblocks in nice shape they're worth some money. I bought a rough set and had them restored. With tires I'm about $2500 into them and could probably sell them for around that amount. They're 100% my favorite wheel on the W210 cars.

A 2001 E55 I used to have on the OEM Monoblock wheels.

My Lorinser monoblocks have factory chrome on them, when MB never chromed the wheels. Even I had chromed AMG wheels in the past, they were chromed in US and chrome was flaking, what was big pain.
Found the picture of my old W210 with them. The chrome really looks good with black car, although I simulated picture of them on white W212 and IMHO that looks good too.
