my w210 M104 engine wont crank over, it starts with a 12v supply to the starter motor so i know its not the starter motor.
i bought a new inhibitor switch and just plugged it into the connector on the gearbox and switched the lever to all the positions and still no start. so i dont think its that, although i didnt actually attach the switch to the transmission.
looking at the K40 relay module i can see 4 out of 5 relays switching when i turn the key to the start position, should all 5 work? be nice to know which relay is switching what exactly? pic below shows whcih relay doesnt switch on start.
reading elsewhere start problem could be the ignition switch, but surely there would be no power to the K40 relay if this was the case? would it?
You could copy and paste your post. Posts on this site mention the Mercedes Star Diagnostic tool. Google can tell you more. I have no experience with it.
