5x112 redrilled to 5x120 Question..

I have some rims that have a bolt pattern of 5x112 to being with, but were then re-drilled to 5x120. Now would I still be able to use the rims on my w210 with a 5x112 pattern?

Picture?
No reputable rim manufacture will allow re-drilling.

Sure. Is it safe? **** no and you're an idiot if you run them on your car.

No offense, but other than trying to light up this thread, I don't think you have any clue on what you are talking about. They bolt up just fine with no spacers. I had them re-drilled to 5x120 for it to be used on my 8 series bimmer with 15mm spacers, for 3 years.

I recall and not too long ago, those in the rev scene 'filling and re-drilling' bolt holes for their wheels. There are also those that have 5x112 and re-drilled to accept another pattern without re-filling.
Many machine shops for wheels provide this type of service.

okay, i didn't think go use the search engine so after reading up on this a little it seems that it can be safe,
and it can be unsafe. depends on the wheel material and natch, do performs the work (and methodology)

Years ago, I remember seeing aftermarket mag wheels, who had slots allowing for different bolt pattern diameter. They were design for US cars with studs and than had big washers under nuts that secure the wheel.
Would you wonder why the design did not catch on long run?
I don't see how MB wheels can be re-drilled. Here is back of typical MB wheel. What you see as smaller holes are bolt holes, when bigger ones are ventilation chambers showing as small hole of the front. '
If you drill new set of holes via ventilation holes, you will not have solid metal under the bolt, beside being close to the edge.
