18" rim fitment question???

hey everyone, I'm about to make the plunge & buy some new shoes for the 00' E430. I had looked for the answer to this by "searching" the forums & came up w/ nothing. When I called the $tealer, they were useless. So, I'll check w/ you all.... the rims are 18X8.5, 5X112 BOLT PATTERN WITH A 35MM OFFSET. I will be running a 235/40/18 tire on them. I just want to verify w/ you guys that I have the correct offset. Thanks in advance guys & I'll make sure to post pics once i get the stereo project completed. Have a great 4th of July.

Guillermo

The wheel specs that you listed below are very common for a W210. They will fit.

Yep, no prob but the front will look like they stick in disproportionately more than the rear - for an E55-type staggered look you may want to consider 255's and an extra 5-7mm spacer in the rear (but don't forget to get long enuf bolts.....looks and handles much better - been there, done that

I am running 8" x 18" wheels with 35 offset front and rear on my 2000 E430 Sport. I have 245 40 18 tires with no problems. Car is also lowered.

Double Check it! What tire brand and model you running up front? I changed from OEM 18X8 et31 to 18X8 et35 using a Nitto NT-555 tire and it rubbed inside due to tires broad shoulder design. I switched back to Pirelli SP Sport 9000 which has a more rounded shoulder with et35 rims and it fits (barely). It will rub when the suspension is compress and fully turning. I could not hear it but it rubbed on this nut:

That nut looks dangerously sharp.....

Up front I've had 8.5" ET35's before using a couple of different tires, sitting on #1 pas without any problems - 235/40 from memory. 245/40 might be a bit close for comfort tho'.
