Hey all, been a while since I've been here.
My clock on my 98 E320 is out,
making the clock quite dim, and fading into the normal lighting brightness as it gets closer to the odometer and temperature.
How do I get to this lamp to replace it? I have the radio removal tool. Is this the tool, or is there another special one the stealership will charge me big bucks for?
Thanks for all your help!

CLK 320
I had this problem before, exact same bulb, but on my CLK. It was under warranty at the time, but if not they'd charge you parts and labor... and you don't want that... ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I still have the printout, the bulb is listed as "00000-00977 BULB", and they apparently replaced 4 of them. This is probably like a $3-4 part, but they'll charge you an hour's worth of labor (probably because they have to take the dash apart to replace them? I don't know). I'm sure somebody here will have some good advice on how to take it apart though... maybe that dude selling the dash for the SLK? I know, different model but it might be close...![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
<edit>
I'll be damned... there's a bunch of very close threads down there (points down) in the "Similar Threads" section... this one in particular has some good details on how to remove the cluster and the tool to use:

No pictures though...
