2001 Mercedes Benz E430 base
2001 E430 base What is this part?
In removing the lower dash cover to change the brake light switch on my 2001 E430 (base) , I encounter this loose part sitting on the lower dash plate near the steering/ignition area? Any idea what it is/does and where it goes? Thanks!

Looks like the nylon portion of the brake switch. Your angle of the photo isn't 100% clear of the complete shape.
